THE ROTE
The Rote is an American alternative rock band formed in 2018, blending post-punk, grunge, and raw rock. Consisting of Ignacio Delgado on guitar and vocals, Rolo Sanchez on bass, and James Mulroony on drums, the band creates music rooted in love, belonging, identity, struggle, and understanding.
Since forming, The Rote has released the album Deviate (2019), the EP Stop Signs Are Turning Green (2022), and the album Mary Underwater (2024), developing a sound shaped by raw guitars, dynamic live performances, and emotionally driven songwriting.
In September 2026, The Rote performed at New York City's legendary Webster Hall, marking the band's biggest performance to date. The show was documented in the short film The Rote: Live from Webster Hall.
The band is currently preparing for its next chapter with Beauty of Defiance, an upcoming album exploring immigration, displacement, belonging, love, and the determination to remain yourself in the face of adversity.
